About Robert Reyes
Robert has a strong interest in and passion for human perception and has been studying and researching it for over forty (40) years. He authored The Human Holographic Visual System, a book on the human visual system released in May 2025. The book deals with how the visual system captures light waves to gather raw visual information about the immediate surrounding outside environment.
Another strong interest for Robert is the study of systems and systems thinking, which helped when writing about the visual system and perception. Systems and systems thinking helped Robert become a nontraditional independent researcher with an unconventional approach.
Robert is currently working on his second and third book projects. His second book, titled The Human Lens of Perception, continues the discussion of the visual system. The book may be ready in about a year.
The second book, The Human Lens of Perception, discusses how the incoming raw holographic visual information produced by the holographic visual system is manipulated by the subjective component of perception to produce a mental model of reality. This mental model of reality is in real-time a continuous and dynamic nano-scale (mini) replica of the outside environment/world inside the brain in 3-D+time (4-D). The mini replica of the outside world inside the brain sets the stage for the production of a continuous stream of visual situational awareness of the immediate surrounding outside environment.
